Toddlers progress from Sippy cups to regular drinking glasses. At first, their parents pour very small amounts of beverages into their children’s glasses. Mom or Dad pours more into the drinking glasses after the child learns how to handle the glass without spills.

The Holy Spirit is pouring God’s love into our hearts; my heart cry is for more.

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us (Romans 5:1-5 NKJV).”

Oh, how I need continued fillings of God’s love. Have I carelessly spilled love, wasting it on things of the world?

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.  And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever (1 John 2:15-17 NKJV).” 

His good and perfect will…  “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2 NKJV).”
