The Front Lines
by PamFord Davis

Poor Colonel Klink; he lived under a constant threat. General Burkhalter could have him sent to the Russian front if he stepped out of line. Klink preferred the command at Stalag 13 prisoner camp. I might prefer the safety of isolation but God sends me to the front lines…

“For though we live in the body, we do not wage war in an unspiritual way, since the weapons of our warfare are not worldly, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments and every high-minded thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to obey Christ. And we are ready to punish any disobedience, once your obedience has been confirmed (2 Corinthians 10:3-6 HCSB).

It's an all-out war.

“For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens (Ephesians 6:12 HCSB).”

God has placed me in the honor guard as a prayer warrior. I stand at attention.

“This is why you must take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand (Ephesians 6:13 HCSB).”

I must guard my heart.

“Guard your heart above all else,
for it is the source of life (Proverbs 4:23 HCSB).”
