We have all made wrong choices; giving in to temptation, we’ve taken sin by the hand. Children frequently have guilt written all over their faces. An observant parent notices something is wrong and questions the child; "Do you have a guilty conscience?"

If the child has a sensitive spirit, they confess their wrong. He or she submits to parental authority and accepts the consequences; the loving parent forgives the wrong. Unfortunately, as adults we often silence conscience alerts.

Remember, we can activate refresh and reset at any time.

The Apostle Paul was not guilty of prayerlessness; he had a clear conscience.

“I thank God, whom I serve with a clear conscience as my ancestors did, when I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day (2 Timothy 1:3 HCSB).”

Was Paul sinless?

No, he had even persecuted the church before Jesus transformed his life.

Paul had a clear conscience because he confessed his sin.

‘If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 HCSB).”

Apostle Paul had received that cleansing.

God declared him not guilty.

“Therefore, no condemnation now exists for those in Christ Jesus,because the Spirit’s law of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death (Romans 8:1-2 HCSB).”
