Our Home
by Sonja Mattison

The earth is our home by God’s will; therefore, we should live it in harmony together. It is our fountainhead, and ours to roam freely.  It is our right to seek its wondrous mysteries, live in peace, and to appreciate life. We should respect it without intention to destroy it or harm anyone. Once again, it is our home where the beauty lies from within on behalf of the Almighty.

Let us praise our Creator for life upon this planet. He gives us the elements to live, via the Sun, Wind, Fire, and Water.  The Sun, our source of light, is also our energy that channels God’s spirit through our bodies to receive his love and consolation. When we look unto it, it is like a warm hug from the Lord that reassures his presence. He also blesses us with the Wind that gives us the ability to breathe so that we can live. Following, he provides us with the Water upon the earth. This nourishes our spirits through its ebb and flow that balances our minds with peace.   Lastly, we are fortunate to have another element similar to the Sun, which is Fire that kindles our spiritual bonds.

Living upon earth is a privilege. It supplies us with the necessary living core elements and also beautiful aspects of life to enjoy and appreciate. We all are seeds of life upon this earth, so we should grow together as the Water does for our earth. We should smile amongst one another as the Sun does upon us. We should kindle our spirits to bond. Lastly, like the Wind, we should breathe in positive and thoughtful words that create the goodness upon the planet. Through the mysteries of this planet, God sustains our lives. Let us revere God’s work of art, the earth, so that we may live.

“Precious Earth, we respect and love you with God’s grace”
