The Night Train
by Rochelle Arnold

She must have been in a lot of pain that night that she stepped in front of the train. We'll never know will never see only she now and eternity.

She must have been in a lot of pain that night that she stepped in front of the train.

We didn't know her life we didn't care but someone did and now she's not there.

She must have been in a lot of pain that night when she stepped in front of the train. Her bones crushed under the weight and her life met it's terrible fate.

She must have been in a lot of pain that night she stepped in front of the train.

The dark place where there was no hope. People are dying and it's no joke.

But I'm not buying what the devil is selling cuz I know we can overcome the cycle of death.

I mean she must have been in a lot of pain the night she stepped in front of the train.

Let's keep our eyes open let's reach out with love. Let's pray to our Heavenly Father above. Offer a kind word, a gesture, a listening ear.

Because we never know how deep the pain or the unbearable fear.

My dear, My dear you must have been in a lot of pain that night you stepped in front of the train. I wish I could have helped you, yet you were a stranger just the same. Another soul gone too soon.

We need to love much better and simply reach out our hand, to lift our brother, to lift our sister, to help our fellowman.

Cause one day you or I might need an extra little boost when life becomes too much. So encourage and lift up, be compassionate, be the love.

Look with fresh eyes at the world around, how can we be the light. Stand up for justice, do what's right. Recognize the pain that's in plain sight.

Pull that person from the tracks. Reach out and grab them, shake them, hold them back. Whatever it takes because the train is coming it's not slowing down. Catch them before they hit the ground.
