Talk of war provides

a challenge which can affect

the soul.

Why such evil? Why the anger?

Not one of these questions

honour our God who created

us in His image.

Imagine the heartache we cause

when forces of discontent

assemble armies filled

with young blood

the same blood in our veins

whose source is God

who came upon this earth

through the precious name of Jesus.

Lord -- help me rekindle a heart

of desire for peace and caring

with forgiveness for all.
