AS A THIEF IN THE NIGHT
by Lewis E. Thomas

AS A THIEF IN THE NIGHT!

The Bible says that one day Jesus will come again at a time we think not!
We should all think about that simple truth a lot!

The Bible tells us He will come "like a thief in the night"!
If you are unsaved that truth should fill you with fright!

If Jesus came today would He find you serving sin and fleshly desires?
Or would He find you doing what His Word demands and requires?

Like a Thief in The Night, in the twinkling of an eye!
Will you go up to meet Jesus in the rapture or will you be left behind to cry?

Is that something that never ever crosses your mind?
Better run to The Cross now and repent while you still have time!

A thief in the night is suddenly upon you with no warning at all...
Will you wait until it's too late and take a great eternal fall?

Will you be like the five foolish virgins who were unprepared when Jesus came?
Will you suffer forever in that place below with eternal flames?

Jesus will come as a thief in the night as the "Last Trump" sounds around the world loud!
Will Jesus take you with Him or leave you behind with the rest of the "lost" crowd?

Be a faithful Christian ready to meet God 24/7 night or day!
Then, when He comes as a thief in the night "you will be ok"!

He could come tonight while you quietly sleep!
As a thief in the night to get all of "His" sheep!

Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thiefand thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Matthew 25:1-13

25 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five werefoolish. They that werefoolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

 John 14:1-3

14 Let not  your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
