A CHILD'S SALVATION

A CHILD'S SALVATION

Have you ever stopped to consider the spiritual condition of your child?
Will they grow up to be "virtuous" or someone unholy and vile?

Will they grow up to live a life breaking all of God's commands?
Will they be assets to their communities and meet its needs and demands?

Will they grow up loving God and following God's creed?
"As you look at them today do they have a great spiritual need?"

Are you teaching them to "know God" by the way "you" live each day?
Have you taught them how to get down on their knees and pray?

Have you given them a solid spiritual foundation built on The Rock, Jesus Christ?
That will help them to weather the emotional, physical, and spiritual storms they will face in life?

Have you helped them to take a holy and moral stand?
Or has your lead given them a foundation for life that is "built on shifting sand"?

Many children today are taking their own lives when life gets too tough!
Because without God, their foundation collapses, because its just not strong enough!

So, how can we as parents teach our children how to honor and live for God?
If we ourselves are lost and unsaved souls on the path we trod?

We save up for years to send our child to some University with a "prestigious" name!
Only to have them transformed into a brainwashed atheist who mocks God's name!

The "greatest thing" we can do for our children will by the "world's standards" seem odd!
The greatest thing we can do for them is to raise them up to "love and honor God"!

If we fail them here we may have doomed their eternal souls!
And they may never get to walk with Jesus on Heaven's Streets of Gold!

If we interviewed all the inmates locked up in our prisons today!
We would find "most" were raised by unsaved parents who never taught them that Straight and Narrow way!

Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Matthew 7:24-27
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him into a wise man which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

1Corinthians 10:4
and did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

weather the storm

1. Literally, to remain at one's location during a storm to wait until it passes, as opposed to evacuating. Officials are urging residents not to try to weather the storm. This is a mandatory evacuation event.
2. To endure a period of hardship or disorder. That was the hardest year of my life, but in the end I was able to weather the storm with the support of my family and God.
