Every Day
by PamFord Davis

It’s easy to become critical. The LORD wants me to encourage others and express my appreciation for their acts of kindness. Too often, I’m selfish.

God gives.

Am I grateful? Do I say thank you?

Daily, He reveals His love. I find it difficult to separate praise and thanksgiving in my prayer life; yet, both deserve individual attention.

Counting my blessings, I am specific. There are so many reasons why I’m thankful. God's mercy and grace are reason enough to say thank you.

He adds so much more. I have much to be grateful for, including family, friends and daily provisions.

Even when busy, we have opportunities to pause for praise!

God alone is worthy of praise and honor.

“I will extol You, my God, O King,
And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
Every day I will bless You,
And I will praise Your name forever and ever.
Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised,
And His greatness is unsearchable.
One generation shall praise Your works to another,
And shall declare Your mighty acts.
On the glorious splendor of Your majesty
And on Your wonderful works, I will meditate (Psalm 145:1-5 NASB).”

King David made a commitment to bless his LORD daily. He vowed to praise God's name.
