Crude or Rude
by PamFord Davis

"Now, I know your mama taught you better than that!"

Taking Facebook at 'face value,' many users have disregarded parental instruction.

They may know what is appropriate but have not made it a part of day-to-day interaction. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I’d say they may not realize they come off as crude or rude.

"No rotten talk should come from your mouth, but only what is good for the building up of someone in need, in order to give grace to those who hear (Ephesians 4:29 HCSB)."

Grace is always beneficial.

Do our posts meet God’s standards?

"All bitterness, anger and wrath, insult and slander must be removed from you, along with all wickedness. And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ (Ephesians 4:31-32 HCSB)."

Good advice, wouldn’t you agree?
