Applying Wisdom In Practical Ways
by Tesse Wilson

The Apostle James encourages us if any one lacks wisdom to ask God who gives liberally, but he cautions us about being double minded and exhorts us to ask in faith.

Many of us have asked in faith and received the wisdom of God. However, like King Solomon later in his life, we do not always apply that wisdom in our choices and decisions. Our choices and decisions should glorify God.

What are our choices, decisions, conversations and associations revealing about us in light of the Apostle Paul’s admonition - not to be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewing our minds.

No one wants to be or be treated as the ‘odd one’. But Jesus says to all who would follow him that we must first deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow him.

We are following Jesus only when we do it as He says, according to His Word; being led by His Spirit. Not what our emotions tell us.

Our Father gives grace; He empowers and quickens us by His Spirit and His Word.

Let us walk in godly wisdom daily.

Heavenly Father, help us we want our choices, decisions, tweets, comments and likes to glorify you.

If any of you needs wisdom to know what you should do, you should ask God, and he will give it to you. God is generous to everyone and doesn't find fault with them. James 1: 5 God’s Word Translation
