A Perfect Day
by Linda Jackson Birth pains seemingly started ages ago I wonder how long they will last before a new life is shown A day to You Lord is like a thousand years The beginning of pains have produced heartache and tears Nation against nation, famines, earthquakes Pain harder and harder many forms it will take Your children are hated, dark against Light Deceit, lies stating wrongs are right More pain as love grows cold, replaced by doubt False prayers in hearts where emptiness shouts
The birth of Your coming seems so near Satan can't stop it, his hate grows Frustrated, the exact date he doesn't know Birth is often like that and even ease between pains A false time of rest, more victims he gains
Evil screams, he recognizes Truth He knows the Lord is coming, satan's followers not so They are of his darkness The Day will come as a thief for their souls I'm not of the night I'm a daughter of the Day and of the Light I will not be caught unaware I seek Truth and I know For Your Word tells me so
You instruct me to be alert, to control my mind My breastplate of faith and love to put on I pray it shines My helmet, my hope, my salvation sure By Your blood, glistening and pure
All evil that creeps in the dark are fighting a battle They don't want me to take part If I open hearts to the Day and the Son Deaths grip will be loosed Some will stay to die, some to You will run
I'm free from Your wrath Lord, You say it's so, Your will be done I'm encouraged that You are on Your way Excited, waiting to feel the warmth of Your perfect Day LJ/18 Mat 24:7-12,33,36 1 Thess 5:16; Heb 10:25 My name is Linda Jackson.
