Who Will Tell?
by PamFord Davis

A declaration of faith…

“Come and hear, all who fear God,
And I will tell of what He has done for my soul.
I cried to Him with my mouth,
And He was extolled with my tongue.
If I regard wickedness in my heart,
The Lord will not hear;
 But certainly God has heard;
He has given heed to the voice of my prayer.
Blessed be God,
Who has not turned away my prayer
Nor His lovingkindness from me (Psalm 66:16-20 NASB).”

How did it happen? So many people have lost the fear of God.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding (Proverbs 9:10 NASB).”

I don’t fear God because He is cruel. I fear (reverence) Him because He is holy.

“Pray, then, in this way:

‘Our Father who is in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
‘Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:8b-10 NASB).”

God is sovereign; His will and purpose will not be changed.

“Then Job answered the Lord and said,

I know that You can do all things,
And that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted (Job 42:1-2 NASB).”
