Christmas is For Kids
by PamFord Davis

Christmas is for kids.

Likely you’ve heard that before; maybe you’ve been the purveyor of opinion.

True, kids do count down the days till Christmas and they definitely make long wish lists. Yet, they do not hold exclusive claim to the holiday. It is a holy day to be observed by worshipers worldwide.

Christmas is for all.

“And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to *all people. [Emphasis mine]

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord (Luke 2:8-11 KJV).”

The Lord offers eternal life to all.

“That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:15-17 KJV).”

God sent, God’s Son, God’s salvation…

His gift, a very Merry Christmas to all.
