HOW DO YOU TREAT OTHERS?
by Lewis E. Thomas

HOW DO YOU TREAT OTHERS?

Does how you treat others "depend" on how they treat you?
If so, when it comes to being Christ-Like, you don't have a clue!

For many years I responded to others based on how they treated me!
Oh Lord, I thank you for "opening my eyes" so that I can now spiritually see!

God commands me to love my enemies and to bless those that do me wrong!
That's how a Christian "shows the world" that to Jesus we truly belong!

"Anyone can love someone who loves them in return!"
But to love someone who hates you is something only mature Christians can learn!

I no longer live my life basing how I treat others on how they treat me!
"BECAUSE I ONCE WAS BLIND BUT "NOW" I SEE!"

Until we learn to love others unconditionally the way Christ loves us!
We'll never mature as Christians and will remain on those "CARNAL SEATS" at the back of the bus!

We can never be pleasing to God as long as we disobey His Word!
As I close this rhyme I'll attach a few scriptures that many Christians seem to have never read or heard!

Matthew 5:43-48, 7:21.  Mark 11:26

Matthew 5:43-48
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.
But, I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven:

Note: Are you obeying these scriptures or ignoring them thinking God will let you just slide around them into heaven?

Mark 11:26
But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Matthew 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord,Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
