Turn Signals
by PamFord Davis

Imagine what it was like to use the first horseless carriages. Automobiles had none of the extras that we take so much for granted today. The idea of automatic transmissions did not come into play. Keys in the ignition?

The key to success was not easily attained. The driver had to find someone willing to stand out front to crank the car. Turn signals?  Drivers first used arm signals before turning or stopping.

Old school, my Dad used arm signals in fair weather. Yes, he had automatic turn signals on our cars but he often reverted to what he had first learned. God has called His people to ‘turn’ from sin; He wants us to repent and seek His forgiveness.

“Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus, who has been appointed for you as the Messiah. Heaven must welcome Him until the times of the restoration of all things, which God spoke about by the mouth of His holy prophets from the beginning (Acts 3:19-21 HCSB).”

Beginning-to-end, God has ordained the perfect plan for reconciliation.

I love happy endings! Jesus will return soon.
