Scriptural Reading: Psalm 91:10-12

‘‘Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.’’  Exodus 23:20 (KJV)

Going to an unknown destination requires you to have all the necessary details about the place before embarking on such a trip. Your journey will be less stressful when you have somebody to guide you or the person is also going in the same direction with you and knows such a place in depth.

From our scriptural reading in the book of Psalm 91:10-12, the psalmist reminded us that God would always send His angels to keep us in all our ways and to deliver us from any form of evil. Our short bible verse above also reveals to us that God will send His angels ahead of us to anywhere we go. That means God has prepared for us a place of comfort and safety.

God Almighty is a mighty God and knows how to keep us from any form of evil. Due to this, He assigns to us guardian angels to always go ahead and go with us in all our journeys by making them our spiritual bodyguards.

Do we experience fear whenever we want to embark on any journey? Here is good news for us. No more panic as God has promised us of His angels going ahead of us. God cannot lie since He is not a liar and a politician. When embarking on any journey or we want to engage in any project and fear runs through our minds, then let us turn to God’s word for comfort in the book of Isaiah that says ‘Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.’ Isaiah 41:10 (KJV). Let us always hold on to God’s promises and see Him through His word.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, send your angels to me and my family always to keep us in all our journeys and keep us away from every form of evil. Amen.
