‘‘And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.’’ Exodus 1:21 (KJV).

A personal house is always better than a rented apartment. It comes with comfort at its best and peace from landlord hassles. Your space and privacy are not negotiated while you get in enough fresh air. No matter the size of the apartment, you are at liberty to dictate what goes on in your God-given compound. God will build our houses that will stand the test of time.

The midwives did not obey Pharaoh hook line and sinker as their allegiance was to God Almighty. They refused to kill the male children at that time when Pharaoh’s mission was to exterminate the Israelites. The killing was against the command of God for humankind, so they had to play by the rule of the game by saving the lives of the male children of which Moses was one of them. The midwives worked for God rather than Pharaoh. God settled them by making them houses. This was a huge profit for them.

God is a kind-hearted God who is a master payer and knows how to reward us for every job well done. Today, God wants us to obey Him and follows all His instructions, and He knows how to settle us, build our houses and take care of our tomorrow. Do you fear your boss more than God and you keep falling into sin regularly? Take a stand for God and let Him give you all the needed instructions you need to overcome pressure from any humankind. Ask Him regularly for the way forward and He will help you. Check this out, Isaiah 41:10.

Dear father, as you built houses for the midwives, come and build my entire life and make me wiser than all your enemies and adhere to all your instructions, rather than fear mortals. Build for me my own physical house as well through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

            The great builder knows the best settlement plan for those on the queue.
