BOLDNESS FOR DIVINE MINISTRATION
by ONOME OGBAJIBREDE

Scriptural Reading: Acts 28:28-31

‘‘And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,’’ Acts 4:29 (KJV).

Boldness plays a significant role in the lives of humankind and at the same time, it is a confident booster that makes a fellow unintimidated either by one’s equal or superior. It is a perfect fit for those who make it their personal motto.

From our scriptural reading where we took our reading from in the book of Acts 28:28-31, Apostle Paul was such a confident preacher of the gospel and going down memory lane, his major driver was the Holy Spirit. He preached the word of Christ without fear or favour and he was always speaking the truth without looking at faces and could speak the mind of Christ and his major focus was on evangelism which is the propagation of the good news.

God is the chief custodian of the spirit of boldness through the Holy Spirit which is the power of God in action. He does not want us to be timid so that people will not take advantage of us. This is why He has given the Holy Spirit to us for boldness and for divine enablement.

Do we desire divine boldness to do exploit for kingdom business? If yes, this is an anchor scripture we can hold on to and always apply on a daily basis. ‘‘And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.’’ Acts 4:31 (KJV). Through Christ in us and the power of the Holy Spirit at work in our lives, we can have access to boldness and this will help us to be successful in bringing people closer to God.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I accept you today as my Lord and Personal Saviour, grant me your Holy Spirit Divine so that I can be successful in evangelism and to bring people closer to you always. Amen

Boldness is the spice that beautifies our faith in Christ
