THE little angel OF LOVE
by Lewis E. Thomas

THE little angel of LOVE

A tiny angel was created one day by the Great Creator above!
And this tiny angel was created from the very essence of God's pure devine love!

He was like in size to a small "humming bird"!
"But this tiny angel was filled with the spirit of the living word!"

He was very small, yet very GREAT which the other angels thought odd.
He had been created with the ability to wield and command all the "POWERS OF GOD!"

God sent the tiny angel down to earth to an old lady to let her know she was loved!
The little angel stays perched on her shoulder whispering into her ear "special words" of love!

The old lady was abandoned by her loved ones to live out her final days in a nursing home!
She is a fine old saint that had been done very, very wrong!

She got few visits from her relatives who ether didn't care or who lived far away!
So, the little angel on her shoulder keeps her boredom and loneliness driven far away!

The tiny angel never slumbers or sleeps as he watches over that old saint of God 24/7!
That tiny little angel is watched at all times by the "whole" host up in Heaven!

You see, size doesn't make you great in the eyes of God above!
That tiny angel was great in God's eyes because his heart was full of devine love!

The little angel had "one purpose" that he had been created for and one reason to exist!
He was to whisper into the old saint's ear, "God loves you!" and to give her kiss after kiss!

One day that old saint who is now 101 will go to live forever with God above!
But, "until then" she will be loved and comforted by that precious little angel of love!

Tonight as the old saint sleeps in her bed the little angel stays close "never to depart"!

Rumor has it that the night shift staff claim they often hear the "flutter of wings" and see a "little angel" glowing in the dark!
