ONLY THE DIVINE CAN CHANGE DESTINIES
by ONOME OGBAJIBREDE

Scriptural Reading: Luke 23:39-43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. Luke 23:43 (KJV) As an Evangelist, we hold monthly crusade which is usually organized by The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), FCT Province 3, Abuja, Nigeria, and our guest speaker is usually the Provincial Evangelist. The theme for this month of May 2019 was RECOVERY OF YOUR EXCHANGED DESTINY PART 1. During the cause of the ministration, our Provincial Evangelist shared a story with us of a young man who graduated from the tertiary institution for many years and he could not find a job. One day, he went for a vigil programme. After the programme he went home and he fell asleep. While in the dream he went to her step mum who had died and he was challenging the step mum in the dream and mentioned the name of Jesus and the step mum said because you mentioned that name I will give you back your destiny. The step mum went into the grave and brought the young mans destiny and handed it over to this young man and that was how he woke up. After some hours, the young mans phone rang and he was awarded contracts worth millions with some cash. It is only God that is mighty in battles. Satan honours the name of Jesus Christ. The only name that he respects and fears. The thief on the cross who was a neighbour to Jesus Christ understood the saving grace of Jesus Christ and he saw Him as the destiny changer and he refused to behave like the other thief who insulted Jesus, rather he rebuked the fellow thief who never had a conscience. Before the death of the two thieves, one of them called on Jesus to remember him in His kingdom. Jesus answered him and said- Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise. And this was how the destiny of the thief was changed in a few seconds by crossing over to the other side of jubilee. God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Jehovah Yahweh is His name and He changes destiny. When we realize that our lives are on a faulty foundation, the only person we can run to is the Almighty God. God wants us to run to Him whenever we feel our lives are no longer going the way it should and He will reorganize it for us. Who has tampered with our destinies? It could be family members, friends or colleagues. For our destinies to be changed for the better, we have to be fed up with our present state and be ready to fight our ways through prayers for divine intervention. Secondly, here is an anchor scripture we can hold on to and apply on a daily basis for a change of destiny. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV). Dear God, you are a destiny changer, reorganize my life for me and destroy every faulty family foundation I have a link with through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen The Potters hand is a construction site that shapes destinies. -The Writer-
