A FATHER YOU CAN TRUST

Thought: Father's day for some was not a pleasant day. Thoughts of addictions, abuse and desertion was the image that filled their mind. Is there any hope for those who found themselves in this type of situation during their youth to ever trust again, to have the security of a father who loved them which is their hearts desire?
The story of Nicky Cruz is one of deliverance from hate, vengeance and loneliness. The above circumstance for many is prime fodder for drugs, crime and gangs. Joining a gang gives a them a sense of belonging but Nicky found out this didn't fill the void that was still there ...to have a father that loved him unconditionally. Someone that would give him a sense of purpose and plan for his life.
Eventually Nicky did find a father who could do this for him. He put his trust and life into God's hands, the Father he always desired to have. Nicky realized that this Father could be trusted to give him a sense of direction and purpose. God wasn't just an unseen force in the cosmos. He was reachable in the human form of a man called Jesus. Every thing Jesus said and did was God incarnate revealing to mankind how much love he had for everyone. It didn't matter what color you were, rich or poor, educated or not, he loved all of mankind. He then went on to do the ultimate deed to prove his love by sacrificing his earthly body for all sin that had come upon the Earth from the beginning of time in the garden of Eden. He took the punishment we all deserved for our rebellion and denial of His existence. Why did Jesus have to die? Because he loved us enough to rescue us from a life of sin by taking it upon himself so we could be free from the bondage Satan has us in.
He has a plan for each one us before we even took that breath of life. He also created us with a free will to choose bondage or freedom, to love him freely without being programmed beforehand. That's the life choice we make to come into the light of His kingdom or live in the darkness of the Evil One. Exercise that choice today and come into God's family, He will never leave you nor forsake you and will always love you. Maranatha

Prayer: Father God, you revealed yourself to the world through the person of Jesus. I can now enjoy fellowship with my creator God who took away all my sin and loves me unconditionally. What an assurance and peace I have today because of my trust in Jesus. Amen

Verse: Math. 6:9-13 "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven......"
