Feeling Sleepy?
by PamFord Davis

Sawing logs?

I don't have statistics on how many people snore but do know it’s a big problem. There are lots of remedies available on the market; some people even require surgery. My husband’s snoring occasionally keeps me awake at night. I’ve noticed that he snores the most when he works the hardest. Recently, I complained about his snoring. In response, he said that I woke myself up with ‘my’ own snoring. Well, at least we didn’t have insomnia.

“The sleep of the worker is sweet, whether he eats little or much, but the abundance of the rich permits him no sleep (Ecclesiastes 5:12 HCSB).”

Feeling sleepy?

“I lie down and sleep;
I wake again because the Lord sustains me (Psalm 3:5 HCSB).”

Bedtime Prayer: Public Domain/Author Anonymous

“Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray Thee, Lord, my soul to keep;
If I should die before I wake,
I pray Thee, Lord, my soul to take.”

The Lord gives us needed sleep.

“In vain you get up early and stay up late,
working hard to have enough food—
yes, He gives sleep to the one He loves (Psalm 127:2 HCSB).”

God never sleeps.

“Indeed, the Protector of Israel
does not slumber or sleep (Psalm 121:4 HCSB).”

Sleep, sweet sleep…

“When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
you will lie down, and your sleep will be pleasant (Proverbs 3:24 HCSB).”

Nighty, night!
