Are You Convinced?
by PamFord Davis

‘Know your enemy; pick your battles and watch your back.’

The enemy wears many faces; he doesn’t play fair.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm (Ephesians 6:10-13 NASB).”

Are we able to resist; have we done everything? Are we standing firm in our faith? Perpetrators carry out their evil schemes in our homes and schools; in the streets and shopping centers. Hatred has shown its ugly face in the work place and in our places of worship. The devil can injure and kill; he cannot separate Christians from their LORD.

“Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written,

‘For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.’

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:35-38 NASB).”
