USA - Diverse Beliefs in God
by Rik Charbonneaux

"Today many Jews, and many Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Hare Krishnas and lots of other people, believe that God is not exclusive — that there are many paths to God." .. Mike Bennet, UCG 2001

The above quote was written at a time when 320 different gods were being worshiped in the world*, and when there were over 2300 different U.S. Christian denominations (IRS.gov), and when 81% of Americans were Christian, and lastly, when 97-percent of them still believed in the God of the Bible.**

The American conversation of our belief in the God has widened considerably since that time and less than 80-percent of Americans now believe in God, with only 56-percent believing in the God of the Bible.*** (61-percent of American women said they believe in a biblical God, compared to 50-percent of men.) - Pew Research

Across the remainder of the population, 10-percent do not believe God at all, and 30-percent only give recognition to God as being a "higher power".

Times and the populations of America have changed substantially along ethnic, gender and political lines in the past fifteen years, and no doubt the next fifteen years will bring even more pronounced changes in how we view and believe in God.
