Moments In Prayer
by Cynthia Bowen

I sat in the breeze
Talking to God
While the sun dipped
Beneath the horizon
Green canopied trees
became dancing giants
swirling in the wind
Blue sky faded into black velvet
While stars winked
into pinpoint brilliance
Summer sighed wearily
And a chill whipped around me.

It feels like the season is about to change.

I sat in the breeze
And God talked to me
While the day shrank quietly
Below the horizon
And wind swept trees
Gracefully danced
to music I could not hear
Shadows crept gently
As the night sky darkened
And heavens gave witness
To the God Who never changes
Who never looks away

No matter what the season His faithful love remains.
