Simple Logic, Deep Faith
by PamFord Davis

Star Trek’s Mr. Spock was known for his logic.

He resisted if an attitude or action was illogical. Keep that thought as we consider the things we keep clean.

Most people begin the day with a bath, shower and shampoo.

If parenting, we bathe our children; being sure to clean them from head-to-toe.

Carefully cleaning tender areas in and around eyes and ears, pet owners wash their animals.

We clean our houses; giving attention to laundry, floors, dishes and floors. When needed, people wash the outside of their homes.

Attentive car and truck owners keep their vehicles clean.

Seeking curb appeal, home owners clean away fallen leaves and limbs from their yards.

With man’s best efforts to keep so many things clean, multitudes do not have a clean heart.

That’s not logical.

The foolish have not trusted Jesus. They walk in darkness.

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin (1 John 1:7 KJV).”

We trust Him; we turn away from sin.

“Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me (Psalm 51:1-3 KJV).”
