Transformation Testimony
by PamFord Davis

How do they do that?

Time-lapse video photography fascinates me. Sitting here at my computer, I can watch a flower progress from budding-to-full bloom in just over a minute’s time.

Christian maturity takes time; God’s children are a work in progress. He is growing us in ways we may not even realize. We all have a transformation testimony.

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18 NASB).”

I cannot see the transformation in time-lapse imagery with the human eye. Yet, I know it is happening from glory to glory.

“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6 NASB).”

He began the work; He will perfect the work of spiritual maturity.

“… until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness n deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ (Ephesians 4:13-15 NASB).”
