LEGACY - Crafting Your Child's Future With Words - Part 13 - Get Wisdom
by Tonja Taylor

Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. --Psalm 119:105

It is only by truth—the wisdom of God’s Word--that we know how to successfully operate in and conquer this world as co-laborers with Christ the King. The days are evil, the land filled with dragons who seek to devour our children (Jer. 10:22, Rev. 12:1-4).

We must have God’s mind to rise and occupy (Luke 19:13), take this earth for Him Who rightly owns it (Jer. 10:12), and train our children to do the same. Until the LORD returns to make things right (Jer 10:10, Rev. 22:3, 7, 12, 13), we have work to do (John 9:4).                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Instructing our children in the things of God is the highest wisdom.

God says in Proverbs 4:5 and 6 to “Get skillful and Godly wisdom, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation); do not forget and do not turn back from the words of my mouth. Forsake not (Wisdom) and she will keep, defend, and protect you; love her and she will guard you.” (AMP)

The more we dig into God’s Word and apply it to our lives, the wiser we will be, and not only will we consciously, purposely training them in Zoe life, but subconsciously; as we walk with Him, so will our children see our example and be highly inclined to follow.

Part 14 of this series will include selected verses to speak to and over your children to help them walk in the wisdom of God.
