Scriptural Reading: Isaiah 45:5-7

“But the Lord is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.’’ Jeremiah 10:10 (KJV)

As a growing child in my home town of Ikweghwu- Agbarho, Delta State of Nigeria, there were cases I have witnessed severally of how idol worshippers would dress in their regalia of either red or white attires and they would arrange themselves in single file with their sacrifices and they would match to the riverside to offer sacrifices to the water goddess. While this is in place, professional divers would take their positions to dive into the river to collect these sacrifices that have been offered. Sometimes, it may be a life goat or any other thing deemed necessary for the gods. Once these divers get hold of any of these sacrificed items, automatically, they cart away with it to their homes and they begin to enjoy themselves. People offer sacrifices to get children, while for others, it is for fame, wealth and power, etc. Whichever ways, there is only one Jehovah Original. Any fellow that gets anything from any unauthorized source will not enjoy such a gift as there is no free lunch with the Devil.

God has told us categorically that He is the only true God and beside Him, there is no other, that means through Him, we get the best and have a relaxed mind to enjoy everything good that He has provided. No other power can compete with Him in glory and in grace. He is the only true God that lives and can never die, He is Jehovah Original, Jehovah Overdo, and Jehovah our overall. Once God blesses a fellow, that fellow enjoys such blessings and God gives such a fellow the strength and right frame of mind to enjoy such blessings, but with Satan, there is no guarantee and in most cases, there is always life in exchange.

The Almighty God is the only right channel of blessings and goodwill, and He Knows that there are many counterfeit blessings out there that look real but fake. He sees what we cannot see and He knows what we do not know and that is why He wants all humankind to come to Him with all our expectations and not to look elsewhere for help. God is a jealous God and any time we leave Him to the opposition party we run the risk of being delivered to the will of our enemies. God is original indeed.

Dear Heavenly Father, you are the only Jehovah Original that has all solutions to our problems, give me and my family the grace to hold on to you and never to look elsewhere for additional blessings through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

      When a gift is fake, it does not last, only the original ones can stand the test of time.
