Small Things
by Faith Noles

“Aren’t five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten in God’s sight. Indeed, the hairs of your head are all counted. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. ” (Luke 12:7-7, CSB)

It’s the blessings You send each day that mean so much to me; Like the hummingbird’s dance in flight or a flower’s fragrance in the breeze,

A loyal dog You gave to me whose love is in her eyes; The picture You paint every day and spread across the skies.

You gave me ears that can hear a symphony, distinguishing every lovely sound; Eyes that see Your colorful world: green, red, yellow, blue and brown.

A voice that can speak of Your greatness and lift Your name in song; All held in Your precious hand where we all belong.

You’re a God who loves the small things, the sparrow and the bees; a God who formed this world in love, a God who thinks of me.

My husband and I have spent many hours looking out our window as song sparrows played and entertained us. They are among the smallest birds, yet God cares when one of them falls. God knows the number of hairs on your head! What an awesome God we serve.

We can’t conceive the expanse of Jehovah God’s love toward us. God blesses even those who don’t serve Him for God loves the unlovable! “But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” (Romans 5:8, NLT)

Heavenly Father, thank You for the blessings You’ve given me. Lord, open the eyes of those who don’t feel loved so they may know You’re eternal love towards them. Father, show each one that they may know You if they seek You.  Hold them close and give them peace in Jesus name.
