The best things in the world are created by God, and cannot be bought, for as I Timothy 6:17 says, " ...God gives us richly all things to enjoy."

Look around you at the marvelous creation of God--you, your family, your friends; all the lovely things in nature that the LORD our God created for us!

Everything God created is good, and good for us. (The evil things in the world never come from Him, for God is holy and only does good! I John 3:8)

Reading this poem out loud will help you give Him thanks for all He has created for you.

Thank You, LORD,
For clouds and trees,
Mountains and bees,
Sun and breeze ...

For songs of birds,
And toots of trains,
Scents in the air,
That speak of rains ...

The squirrels who play,
Among branches and leaves,
And gardens of goodness,
Bursting with sheaves ...

Flowers, amazingly colored,
And wild,
Or planted on purpose,
By a child.

The dawning light
As it cradles the sky,
The rivers of waters,
Gurgling by...

Laughter from parents,
With their little ones,
Eating desserts,
With friends—what fun...

And for freedom for me,
To make the choice,
To be with You LORD
And hear Your Voice.

Make a list of what you want to thank God for--keep writing till you can't think of any more. Then, a few minutes (or at least hours) later, you'll think of more, and more and more.
