13 Yet, Christ paid the full price to set us free from the curse of the law. He absorbed it completely as he became a curse in our place. For it is written:“Everyone who is hung upon a tree is doubly cursed.” 14 Jesus, our Messiah, was cursed in our place and in so doing, dissolved the curse from our lives, so that all the blessings of Abraham can be poured out upon even non-Jewish believers. And now God gives us the promise of the wonderful Holy Spirit who lives within us when we believe in him.  --Galatians 3:13-14, The Passion Translation

Jesus and the cross are transparent, and we see the mighty Hand of God reaching through Him on the cross to smash the enemy--set people free!

This is what it means to be redeemed from the curse! When sin--which causes the curse--entered the world through Adam and Eve when they betrayed God, all people were doomed to go to hell. Hell is eternal separation from God. 

But God sent Jesus at just the proper time, to die on the cross for us after living a sinless life, and shed His pure blood to pay the sin debt for all people for all time (John 3:15-17), that all who believe in and receive what Christ Jesus did for them may be born again and live in Heaven for eternity! Hallelujah! 

So when we become born again, we are redeemed from every curse and we are also blessed! We have been given all these rights, just like the rights of any country belong to every citizen. But sometimes we have to fight (the devil, who is the enemy, and who is defeated by what Jesus did for us on the cross!) to have and enjoy our rights. 

That is where the Word of God comes in! We speak the Word and agree with God. What He says in His Word is Truth. What He says in His Word is how He thinks about us and what Jesus died for us to have, be, and enjoy. GLORY!

But to be redeemed from every curse and blessed beyond measure, you must be born again. Salvation--being born again--is completely free to us; Jesus paid it all! 

If you have not been born again and want to receive Christ Jesus as your Savior, LORD, and Best Friend forever (He will never leave you nor forsake you! Hebrews 13:5), please say this prayer out loud: 

Dear Jesus, I acknowledge and say that You alone are LORD and God. I thank You for dying for me on the cross by shedding all of Your blood to pay the terrible debt of all my sins. I ask You to please forgive me and come into my heart and be my Savior and LORD and Best Friend Forever.

I renounce satan and all of his works in my life.  Jesus, I receive You and ask You to help me know You, love You, and walk in Your ways. I thank You that in this new life in which I follow You, I will go to be with You in Heaven when this body dies. Thank You so much! In Your Name, amen!

Now, if you just said that prayer and meant it, you are truly born again! God is now your loving Father, Jesus is your Brother, Defender, and Good Shepherd, Who will always be with you and will lead you in right paths. The angels are having a party to celebrate your most excellent decision! Your spirit has been translated from the temporary kingdom of darkness into the eternal Kingdom of Light of God's dear Son, King Jesus!

Ask the LORD to show you the right church body for you to become part of, and for the right Bible to study. Remember there are multiple versions and languages online to use! He will help you.

Ask Him to lead you to good praise and worship music that glorifies Him, and to help you pray--which is ultimately communicating with God, in your heart, and with your spoken and written words. 

He will help you--for His Spirit is the Helper Who is with you now, forever.
