THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS (locksmith style)(humor)
by Clarence (Sonny) White Twas the night before Christmas And we stand at the door With sacks full of presents We bought at the store We went to the mall And Pa locked the lock When we tried to open it We were in for a shock Between home and the store The keys came up missing I had tried to tell Pa But he just wouldn't listen A buck and a half For an extra spare key But a mere Lad of 16 He wouldn't listen to me I'm more than unhappy As I stare at the deadbolt And Pa on his cell phone Calling Locksmiths for quotes It's the night before Christmas Do we have a prayer Is it really possible We'll get a Locksmith out here The thirteenth call got an answer And yes he'll be out As Pa hangs up the phone We all give a shout It's starting to get cold The wind starts to blow And then it starts snowing Well, wouldn't you know The hour that we waited Seemed a lot more like four An old fat man like Santa Came and opened our door And I heard him exclaim Before he drove out of sight Compliments of Santa It's Christmas Eve night December 2003 Clarence "Sonny" White Clarence "Sonny" White was born in Covington, Tennessee moving to Illinois at the age of 17.
