I'm Smiling...
by Samuel Dumas

I'm Smiling....

There is a smile that no one sees:
The smile upon the gentle breeze;
The tender curves of river bends,
The lonesome plains with vacant trends.

The smile that no one sees is me:
The thoughts I think, a mental spree
Of gazing through the window glass
At hills and lands through which I pass.

I smile a smile that no one sees
For I can sight the gentle breeze;
Its tender light, its glory mass;
Its ageless smiling in the grass.
