LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE

Thought:  What would our world be like without those bright orbs shining in the sky?  Indeed, it would be a very dark place void of life.  In the spiritual sense light symbolizes holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, grace and hope.  Darkness is sin, evil and despair.  How many are living in that dark place of despair because of this corona pandemic?  Here’s a few words of advice to bring light into your world.

  1. Stop living in a routine
  2. Spend time with others
  3. Spend time with God
  4. Live your life like God intended

John 1:4  In Him (Jesus) was life and the life was the light of men.  Let your light shine from within.  How can we do that?  By inviting His light into your life.  Believe who he was and is (God), what he accomplished on the cross (paying the price for the sins of the world) and defeating death by His resurrection.  We don’t have to fear death anymore because Christ offers eternal life.  John 12:46  I AM the light of the world.  Without the Sun and the Moon this planet would not sustain life.  Without the light of Jesus within there is spiritual separation, darkness and despair.

I  you find yourself overwhelmed and fearful through this long ordeal of rigid stay at home rules, seek out the light of Jesus to fill you with hope, strength and a wonderful future when He rules as King of the world.  Let His light shine out from your life so that others can be drawn to Him.  Get to know Him better by reading His Word and living the kind of life that would please Him.  A good start would be in the New Testament book of John.  Maranatha

Prayer:  Father God, may your light shine through me so that others can know you too.  You are the great Comforter and Peace giver in these times of trouble and you are always with me through the storms of life.  I can trust in you. Amen

Verse:  John 1:1-5 “Before anything else existed, there was Christ with God.  He has always been alive and is himself God.  He created everything there is –nothing exists that he did not make.  Eternal life is in him and this life gives light to all mankind.  His life is the light that shines through the darkness.”
