Distress Signals
by PamFord Davis

Are you sending out distress signals?

The LORD sees & hears.

“I called to the Lord in my distress,
and I cried to my God for help.
From His temple He heard my voice,
and my cry to Him reached His ears (Psalm 18:6 HCSB).”

The LORD hears; He reaches out to us.

“But when he saw the strength of the wind, he was afraid. And beginning to sink he cried out, ‘Lord, save me!’

Immediately Jesus reached out His hand, caught hold of him, and said to him, ‘You of little faith, why did you doubt (Matthew 14:30-31 HCSB)?”

Why do I doubt?

He gives me strength in my times of distress.

“Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong (2 Corinthians 12:10 NKJV).”
