A Writer's Fit
by Tonja Taylor I believe in exercise, in staying fit and well, but I spend most of my free time on writing things to sell.
I'm faced with a dilemma of the most disturbing kind: Should I exercise my muscle groups, Or exercise my mind?
It's hard to write good poetry while under such distress; between rhymes I do wonder how I'll look in my new dress.
But I've found a firm solution to my conflicting needs: I turn on the phone recorder, lift some weights, and shout strong leads.
Then I cycle to a rhythm while composing words of wit, settle back into my chair and realize a better fit.
Now both ends are benefitting; my investment's paying off, and I seldom ever jiggle when I take the time to cough.
All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast. --Proverbs 15:15, KJV A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. --Proverbs 17:22, KJV Tonja and her husband live to exalt God. They lift Him up in books (P.O.W.E.R. Girl!; LEGACY; Visions of the King; Your Holy Health; more); presentations; service in church, community, and the world; and via the "River Rain Creative" (309 videos) and "POWERLight Learning" You Tube channels.
