Now you are light!
by Fenny West Now you are light! It's time to shine Dispel the night You're of the Vine Drink from the well of Salvation On the Word dwell For transformation. Be not afraid He lives in you Great price He Paid For me and You. Now you are light Rise from the mud Fight the good fight Depend on God. Stand, come what may Your foes will fail Just watch and pray You will assail. Rise to the height ordained for you not in your might Gentile or Jew. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: "Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."
