Good News
by PamFord Davis

My husband sold Grit newspaper when he was young. For a while, our daughter April carried on the tradition. The world could use a little more Grit good news today.

Grit, founded in 1882, is still published but is now as a magazine. Tell the good news.

“Like cold water to a weary soul,
So is good news from a distant land (Proverbs 25:25 NASB).”

Yesterday, we received good news from a distant State. One of our loved ones is battling cancer and got a great report after a recent surgery. Like cold water to the weary, the good news led to refreshment and gratefulness. God has moved in a miraculous way.

“I shall remember the deeds of the Lord;
Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.
I will meditate on all Your work
And muse on Your deeds.
Your way, O God, is holy;
What god is great like our God?
You are the God who works wonders;
You have made known Your strength among the peoples.
You have by Your power redeemed Your people,
The sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah (Psalm 77:11-15 NASB).”
