For earth dwellers, gravity is a must, but soon, those of us who love God more than this temporal life, will be waving 'so-long' to this life-sustaining magnetism and be freed from this life; ready to begin our forever lives in Heaven.

Consider the latest from one of at least 12 different online news outlets reporting that the earth's magnetic pull has been weakening for some time, especially over the last five years. This information raises a few questions for believers:

Is God making things a bit lighter for our flight? Not because He has to, but because He wants to make things more intriguing for us down here who study His Word? Is He conveying the message that the Rapture is about to occur, thereby sending believers another of His many signs? Is He calling the secular community to a new awareness? Is He upsetting the scientific world to call them to Himself? Or, does this plan have more to do with those left behind, to cause them to feel less stability in the world, until God reestablishes the world?

There's no way we can know the answer or combination thereof, until we take flight; then we will know all the secrets of Heaven and earth (or so I've been told!) But we can enjoy the mystery and the wonders of God.

There is probably little argument that we are living in some pretty interesting and awesome times. Check out this information I gathered from my research about changes in the earth's gravitational pull:

1). The earth's magnetic field is weakening, and scientists are baffled. The magnetic field that surrounds earth is a layer of electrical charge; needed for our survival. The ozone is responsible for this life-protecting shield.

2). This field shields us from radiation in space and dangerous particles that would enter our atmosphere without it.

3). This field has been showing reduced magnetic intensity from Africa to the South Atlantic; a very large region. This anomaly is normal, but scientists have discovered an alarming 9% loss over the last 200 years and this anomaly has grown and moved westward at about 12 miles per hour and could even split in two (which is I think what they mean by a "shift in the poles." (Astro Bytes)

There is no way of knowing what will happen next, even the scientists admit that. Certainly gravity will be needed for some time to come and the reports say the magnetic field, although weaker, will still be in place. But we who believe can take this information as a sign from Heaven, with awe and intrigue, rather than concern; because we know we are soon to depart from this gigantic magnetic ball we call earth.

Believers will be escorted by our own personal angels (I believe anyway) to meet the Lord in the air! Hallelujah!

"For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words." (1Thessalonians 4:15-18, NKJV)

So, to gravity I say thanks for all your work and a fond farewell, soon anyway; I'll still be needing you for now!

Magnetism Vs. Gravity -

Magnetism may cause objects to be attracted or repelled from each other, while gravity only works as an attractive force. The attraction or repulsion of magnetic field is dependent on ‘poles’, while gravity has no preferences to charge or poles. The only property of matter that qualifies it to be attracted by gravitational force is its mass.
