REST FOR THE WEARY
by Lupie Riley

Thought:  Have we any idea what our Presidents schedule has been like in the last few years?  He's been burning the candle at both ends with all the rally's (peaceful protests) and campaign speeches and he's desperately in a need of a  rest.  This recent covid scare could be God's way of slowing him down to recharge for the next battle ahead.  He's God's worrier for the good of this nation and it's people and with their prayers God will not let him down.

The Word says our Father God had already planned out our lives before we even took the first breath of life. He has a plan for each one of us and it's up to us to follow that plan or go our own way. Trump was chosen for this mission and nothing will happen to him until it's completed.  Never fear or be anxious but trust God that he has all of these recent scares under control according to His plan and timing.

Trump is in that quiet place that Psalms 23 talks about.  "He lets me rest in the meadow grass and leads me beside the quiet streams. He restores my failing health.  He helps me do what honors him the most (LB)."  My grandkids thought it funny and strange that I pick up any loose pennies I find on the ground.  I told them it's penny's from heaven reminding me to "trust in God" and I save them in a little jar. At the end of the year i count the times God remined me to trust in him and I'm surprised at how many have accumulated in one year.

It's a time to draw from God's peace and put our Presidents in His hands.  He tells us not to be anxious or afraid in the end WE WIN against the enemy.  Jesus is coming again and the evil one with all his followers will be locked up for 1,000 years.  There will be peace on a restored Earth for all those who love the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The Golden age of Christs reign is just up ahead. Are you looking forward to your encounter with Jesus? Maranatha
Prayer:  Father God, maranatha... even so Lord come. What a day that will be when we see our Savior face to face. Will we dance, will we sing, will we fall at his feet? Amen

Verse:  Psalms 112:4-9 "When darkness overtakes him, light will come bursting in.  He is kind and merciful--and all goes well for the generous man who conducts his business fairly.  Such a man will not be overthrown by evil circumstances.  God's constant care of him will make a deep impression on all who see it.  He does not fear bad news, nor live in dread of what may happen.  For he is settled in his mind that Jehovah will take care of him. That is why he is not afraid, but can calmly face his foes.  He gives generously to those in need.  His deeds will never be forgotten.  he shall have influence and honor."  (Is this not a picture of our President? )
