Get ready, get set-go!

It’s been a busy tropical storm season. Louisiana has been hit repeatedly. Dolly Parton sang ‘Here You Come Again.’ Our state song could be ‘Here we go again.’

Many will be going; evacuating for their safety.

Hurricane Delta has taken direct aim at the Louisiana coast. We live far inland; in the northeast corner of the state. Maybe you’ve heard of the Louisiana Delta. Yes, ‘Delta.’

We are under a tropical storm warning and expect gusty winds and heavy rains. Flash flooding is possible. Residents must take action if the National Weather Service issues flash flood warnings.

Action!

Life is not acted out in a movie studio. A director isn’t silencing all on the set before calling for action. The LORD is preparing us for action.

“Therefore, with your minds ready for action, be serious and set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:13 HCSB).”

Jesus will return.

Are we prepared?

“Therefore be alert, since you don’t know what day your Lord is coming (Matthew 24:42 HCSB).”
