Shout and Submit
by PamFord Davis

Shouting in church?

Is that reverent?

“Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations (Psalms 100:1-5 NKJV).”

Shout triumphantly; He is victorious.

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV).”

Serve Him gladly.

“If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor (John 12:26 NKJV).”

Sing unto the LORD.

“… speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord (Ephesians 5:19 NKJV).”

Acknowledge Him; He is God.

“In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:6 NKJV).”

Enter His presence with praise and thanksgiving!

“Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving;
Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms (Psalms 95:2 NKJV).”

Will I shout His victory? Will I submit? The joy of the LORD is my strength.

“Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10 NKJV).”
