THE little ACORN

THE little ACORN

One day God picked out a "SPECIAL" little acorn on a tree before he ever created man!
That little acorn would one day become part of God's "GREAT SALVATION PLAN"!

God looked ahead in "TIME" and He watched that little acorn grow!
The little acorn grew into a strong tree to be fashioned into a shape that "THE WHOLE WORLD" would one day know!

The little acorn did not know that one day "ROMAN SOLDIERS" would cut it down!
It did not know that it would be fashioned into a "CROSS" for a "SAVIOR" who would gain "WORLD RENOWN"!

It did not know that "THREE RUSTY SPIKES" would be driven into it's beams!
It did not know that it would be supporting the precious body of the "MIGHTY KING of kings"!

It didn't know it would become an old rugged cross one day for Jesus the "CRUCIFIED"!
It didn't know it would become a cherished symbol of the Son of God who died!

It did not know that one day it would become covered with the precious blood of "CHRIST"!
It did not know that it would be used to bring such pain to the "PEARL of GREAT PRICE!

The little acorn didn't know it would be used to torture it's own "CREATOR" on Golgotha's hill!
It didn't know that it would become a "CROSS" where the Lamb of God would be killed!

The little acorn that became a cross now lives in the heart of everyone "BORN AGAIN"!
That little acorn played a "BIG PART"in God's plan to "SAVE ME" and to "FORGIVE ME" for my sins!

The little acorn...that became that old Rugged  Cross!

Note:
Trillions of little acorns have fallen from trees to the earth, but only one of them became a Cross for THE ONE" born of a "VIRGIN BIRTH"!

A thought:
If you think you are too small in size or ability to be used by God to do great things just remember this little rhyme and "THE little ACORN"!
Ask God to use you to do GREAT things!
