The Deceived
by PamFord Davis

A generation of deception…

A generation of darkness…

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter (Isaiah 5:20 NASB)!”

A people of blindness…

Their hearts have been darkened.

“He has blinded their eyes and He hardened their heart, so that they will not see with their eyes and understand with their heart, and be converted, and so I will not heal them (John 1:40 NASB).”

Many are deceived; without spiritual discernment.

“But a natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14 NASB).”

God is light; He delivers the repentant from darkness.

“For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son (Colossians 1:13 NASB).”

All have sinned; you, ME. (Romans 3:23)

We must admit our guilt; we need to confess our sins.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us (1 John 1:9-10 NASB).”

The LORD opens eyes; He transforms lives.

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come (2 Corinthians 5:17 NASB).”

God is good. He forgives you; He forgives ME.

“For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all who call upon You (Psalm 86:5 NASB).”
