The Bible is GOOD NEWS!! The GOOD NEWS is that JESUS THE CHRIST came ON PURPOSE to HELP YOU be FREE and FORGIVEN and FULL OF FAITH in GOD--Who is the Giver of all and ONLY GOOD THINGS!! (John 3:15-17, John 10:10)

And here's MORE good news--that no matter how badly you have sinned, the LORD wants to forgive and cleanse you through the shed Blood of Christ on the cross, so you can have a better life than you ever dreamed! (Ephesians 2:10 and 3:20)

This undeserved, amazing, phenomenal goodness of God is called GRACE! Here are more Scriptures about it, from Colossians 1:4-7, AMPC: 

4 For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus [the leaning of your entire human personality on Him in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness] and of the love which you [have and show] for all the saints (God’s consecrated ones),  5 Because of the hope [of experiencing what is] laid up (reserved and waiting) for you in heaven. Of this [hope] you heard in the past in the message of the truth of the Gospel,  6 Which has come to you. Indeed, in the whole world [that Gospel] is bearing fruit and still is growing [by its own inherent power], even as it has done among yourselves ever since the day you first heard and came to know and  understand the grace of God in truth. [You came to know the grace or undeserved favor of God in reality, deeply and clearly and thoroughly, becoming accurately and intimately acquainted with it.]

True, there are consequences to pay in the world--but the eternal God, Yahweh, is willing to cut an everlasting blood Covenant with you, and forgive and free you of the eternal consequences--so that your spirit will go to Heaven with Him when your body dies, and not to hell. It's up to you. The Blood of Jesus is The Power Cleanser that does not cover your sin--it totally erases it! 

5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives. -- I John 1:5-10
