14 And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. 15 And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him. -- I John 5:14-15, AMPC

I'm so thankful that God--Elohim, Who is the Creator and Sustainer of all life--becomes our Father when we receive His Son, Jesus Christ, as our Savior and LORD (John 3:15-17, Romans 10:12-13: …12 For there is no difference between Jew and Greek: The same Lord is Lord of all, and gives richly to all who call on Him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”)! 

As His kids, our Daddy God (Abba Father!) hears us. He loves us. He is, as any good parent (and only He is the perfect Parent!), listens to us, and responds. Often, we have not heard His response (nor His leading or instruction), because we have been too busy to hear His sweet Spirit, or deceived by agreeing with the enemy about something, and thus have had spiritual blinders on our understanding, our hearts. 

When our Daddy God promises us something, that is what He means. The promises of God are unchanging, eternal, and supreme. Hallelujah!

There are, I'm learning, many spiritual laws that affect how the laws of God work in our lives. In addition, we have to trust the LORD to influence the wills of other people to cooperate with us to get the will of the Father done.

(We must remember that we are in the earth to get the will of God done!)

A big part of getting the will of God done is us praying for His will to be done. Just like a child who would defend a friend to a teacher or principle, or another parent, we defend--we "intercede"--with our prayers.

Praying is simply talking to God. There are different forms of prayer, but it all comes down to communicating with God as Father from the heart.  Even when we don't speak out loud, He hears our hearts. He hears our thoughts. He knows every word we've ever uttered, before we speak it. 

He loves us, and there are so many people and situations that need your prayers. If you are His child by faith in His Son, Jesus--the Resurrected LORD!--then you can come confidently and respectfully to God's Throne any time, anywhere, and know that He will hear you (Hebrews 4:16)! He will answer your prayers as much as He can, working with your obedience and free will, the free will of others in your life, and according to the spiritual laws in His Word.

That is one main reason we need to know His Word! 

What an awesome, humble, loving God we serve!  

God is Love, and He wants to talk to you today. Just like any loving parent who delights to talk to his child, your Heavenly Father loves to be with you!
