Why Was It Better That Jesus Went Away?
by Tonja Taylor

And it was of His own [free] will that He gave us birth [as sons] by [His] Word of Truth, so that we should be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures [a sample of what He created to be consecrated to Himself].--James 1:18, AMPC

As the Scriptures tell us in John 16, if Jesus had not gone back to Heaven, the Holy Spirit (The Comforter, The Counselor, The Helper, The Spirit of Truth) would not have come, and Jesus' ministry would have been extremely limited!

Since the Holy Spirit is a spirit, where Jesus is in a human body, He is everywhere at once; He is ubiquitous--living in everyone who truly believes in the Son of God, the LORD Jesus Christ, and otherwise in the earth.

The Holy Spirit is unlimited, unchanging, and all-powerful, yet will never overstep the bounds of a human's free will: "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom)."--2 Corinthians 3:17, AMPC

The Spirit of the LORD, the Holy Spirit, is the Master at persuading, convincing, and changing the hearts of humans to align with Him, and He does this with infinite patience and love, working with even the least bit of desire in a person who is curious about Him, and especially who want to know more of Him!

He is God, Who created us, loves us, and sent Jesus His holy Son, to die for us on the cross and pay for all our sins, then be raised to eternal life after three days (John 3:15-17, Romans 10).  He came to reprove (remind, persuade) the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He also came to lead us into all truth (John 16).

Hallelujah!

Call out to Him today to reveal even more of Himself to you. He will! He is faithful, and good, and He loves you. He wants you to know Him. He wants to have a deep, wonderful, eternal relationship with you!

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.--Luke 19:10, AMPC

For even the Son of Man came not to have service rendered to Him, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for (instead of) many.--Mark 10:45, AMPC
