WHEN JESUS DIED
by Lewis E. Thomas

WHEN JESUS DIED...

When Jesus said, "It is finished!" and died on that old Rugged Cross!
All of God's creatures and the Angels in Heaven bowed their heads over the loss!

Every Mountain quaked and trembled when the "GREAT CREATOR" died that day!
Holy men and women of God around the world suddenly felt an urgent need to pray!

The "GREAT EAGLES" in flight felt a great disturbance in the "WIND" under their wings!
And all the "EAGLES" around the world let out a loud screech in one accord at the death of  the KING!

The Sun refused to shine and give light for three hours of "TIME"!
And as I read about it again in the book of "MARK" today God moved me to write this rhyme!

The death of Jesus put a "GREAT RIPPLE" effect throughout the whole "UNIVERSE" all the way up to Heaven above!
The Father and the Angels all wept hard over the death of The Son that they dearly loved!

Every tree, every flower, and every blade of grass felt the sting of death as Jesus tasted death for every woman and man!
Somehow all of God's creation knew it was all a part of "GOD'S GREAT SALVATION PLAN"!

The great "WHALES" in the oceans cried together deep beneath the waves of the seas!
When they sensed the "CRUCIFIED" had died for you and for me!

Every living creature on the earth, and under the seas, sensed the death of their Creator on that "OLD RUGGED CROSS"!
And every creature felt and sensed there had been a "TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, LOSS"!

When Jesus died it was the most powerful death that ever happened on this earth!
His death on the Cross made it possible for you and I to have a "SPIRITUAL BIRTH"!

Do you know this Savior called JESUS CHRIST today?

He is the "WHOLE REASON" for "EXISTING"!

"WHAT MORE CAN I SAY"?
